PROPOSALS FOR NEW DEVELOPMENT IN BISHOPS LDYEARD AND COTFORD ST LUKE have recently been announced by Taunton Deane Council.

Proposals for BISHOPS LYDEARD include:
35 dwellings at Gore Farm and 100 between Taunton Road and the A358 Structural landscaping round new development Extension to Broadgauge Business Park
Footpath and cycle links between Broadgauge and the new development Youth recreation facilities and allotments Affordable housing

Proposals for COTFORD ST LUKE include:
200 dwellings to the north and north-west of the village 1.5 hectares of employment land to the north east of the village New road from Dene Road to Burge Meadow to serve new development Structural planting round new development More public open space, play facilities and allotments Footpath to Tithill upgraded to cycleway
Affordable housing

Plans are available on Taunton Deane’s website, in the council offices and public libraries.  The official consultation period runs until 28 February and you will be able to comment on line or in writing.

Additionally, there will be a manned public exhibition of the plans in:
Cotford St Luke Community Centre: Tuesday 2 February 3.30-7.30 pm
Bishops Lydeard Village Hall:       Wednesday 10 February 3.30-7.30 pm
 
Please get involved!   It is important to get local feedback so we can try to make sure we get the right sort of development in the right place with appropriate infrastructure and community facilities.
