BMX Pump Track

Last week the BMX/pump track at Bishops Lydeard was officially opened. The King’s Trustees have very kindly allowed the use of an area to create this facility.  The project has been financed by the “Taking the Cash out of Crime” scheme, Grassroots and SCC Youth Opportunity Fund.  It is a great new facility for the whole village and with some good summer weather should prove to be a success. …

Cotford Youth

Following discussions between PCSO Sue Thompson and Steve Alcock (Senior Youth Worker with the Wellington Service Team) a bid was submitted to the Somerset Youth Opportunity Fund to facilitate two youth workers to bring the Youth mini-bus to Cotford St Luke one night a week for a year. The application form with accompanying letter was submitted by Danni Sowden, one of the young people who lives in Cotford St Luke. This application was supported by a letter of endorsement by PCSO Sue Thompson.…
